Does the Antichrist come from Rome?

Certainly the Antichrist will come from a nation that was a part of the Roman Empire, but the bible indicates that he comes from a nation much closer geographically, and more closely related, to the Israelite people! The Spirit of Prophecy discusses the wealth of biblical evidence indicating the national origin of the Antichrist.

Do prophecy scholars clearly and correctly portray the policies of the Antichrist, and the events of the End Times?

Dispensational bible scholars usually get some things correctly, while making errors in other areas. The Spirit of Prophecy looks at many commonly taught doctrines among prophecy scholars, and approves when they get it right, but also shows from the Scriptures, several areas where error is commonly taught, and what the bible says about it! This is not about one-upmanship, but simply about reading the Scriptures, in context, and following where the Spirit leads even when other Christians disapprove, or have difficulties with the clear teaching of the Word of God!

Is it possible to know who the Antichrist is before the Rapture? Is there a sign before the covenant between the Beast and Israel?

There is a sign of the Antichrist which will occur shortly before the Rapture of the Church. It concerns a biblical doctrine most professing Christians are unfamiliar with, and when they see it will interpret it incorrectly! This is because they fail to accept what God says about Himself. It is right there in the Word but most won’t see it! The Spirit of Prophecy will give you the tools to understand what you are seeing, but it is up to you to accept what God says about Himself!
